Naples Pink - which includes Carlos' and Michele's 8-year-old daughter Ariana - finished second in the Junior Level 2 small-gym division. Realpe, ever the perfectionist, thought all four of Rockstar's entries could have won.
All four Rockstar teams placed among the top three in their divisions, with Naples X winning the Senior Co-Ed Small Gym Level 4 championship, a division including boys and girls ages 10 through 18. Rockstar Cheer sent four teams to the Cheersport Nationals in Atlanta, one of the largest events in the country with more than 1,200 teams and 27,000 athletes competing. Although the Naples outfit isn't quite 2 years old, the gym is already making plenty of noise nationally. The gym, an affiliate of parent organization Rockstar Cheer from Greer, S.C., opened its doors in May 2014. Realpe coaches at Rockstar Cheer of Southwest Florida, located at 2383 Linwood Way in Naples, which he owns with his wife Michele Maniscalso.
